Mountain Expedition

In Nepal, Expedition refers to a mountaineering journey undertaken to climb high-altitude peaks, including some of the world’s tallest mountains, such as Mount Everest (8,848.86m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), and Annapurna (8,091m). These expeditions require special permits from the Nepalese government and involve extensive planning, logistics, and support from Sherpas and guides.

Expeditions in Nepal are categorized based on difficulty and altitude:

  • Trekking Peaks (5,000m – 7,000m) – Less technical, requiring basic mountaineering skills.
  • Expedition Peaks (Above 7,000m) – Highly challenging, requiring technical climbing experience.

Nepal is a global hub for mountaineering expeditions, attracting climbers from around the world due to its diverse Himalayan terrain, unique challenges, and breathtaking landscapes.
